George put on his best dress robes. They were a soft golden brown color that his mother had assured him "looked lovely with his hair" when she saw them for the first time. George put the letter in his pocket and pulled on his boots.

George had never taken the floo to the public area of the Ministry before. He'd come with his father a time or two when he was young, but they'd usually apparated. He asked a passing witch for directions and after several false starts was knocking on a door labeled "Communications Office".
