Dean smiled to receive his letter about the summer quidditch league. He often thought he had not really earned his place on the quidditch team as he was only there as a last minute replacement, but he did enjoy the game. At school the rivalry had been ludricrous and he was sure this league would be comptitive, but hopefully not as viscious. He decided it sounded like fun and hopefully it would not all be made up of players who could wipe the pitch with him. Not that he doubted most of them could.

Harry and Ron -

I'd be up for the quidditch league. Don't have much of a specific timetable at the moment so I can practice whenever. And you can put me on any team and swap me round if you want - wouldn't want to bring anyone down for too long! In order I'd like to play,

1. Chaser
2. Beater
3. Keeper
4. Seeker

but I've got to admit, Chaser's the only one I've played properly, don't really know how I'd to at the others! I definately do not want a captain position. I hope you guys are alright,

Cheers,

Dean

Long before the unfamiliar owl came to his window, he was visited by another. It must have been a post office owl, he supposed, and when he read the letter, his supposition was supported. The owl flew off, leaving him to reply with Smaug.

A Quidditch summer league - was this what he'd incited? He frowned and tapped his fingers against his jaw, then wrote back to Harry.

Pencil me in for any position you need to fill, Harry. Andromeda brought up the fact that I should be getting a job for while I'm staying over here, so I'll have to look into that before I'm really sure if I can do it or not; and then if so, which days I'd have to myself.

Tell Ron that if I forget to bring his present to the picnic, he's allowed to stomp on my toes.

Charlie,

We'll pencil you in, though you know you ought to be Seeker, so that goes to the top of the list. And we'll keep you posted about meetings and such. Let us know when the work situation pans out, yeah?

I'll tell Ron, but don't think he won't hold you to that.

Harry.

Hi! Meghan McCormack here.

Quidditch sounds fab. I need to get back into some sort of training anyway, and this would be perfect! Sides would be fun, just lighthearted rivalry to get people back into the spirit of the game, you know? Anyway, I work at the Hog's Head, usually after five on weekdays, but that could change at any moment depending on what kind of mood Aberforth is in, so I could be available then as well as weekends or during the afternoon. Just let me know. As for positions:

1. Keeper
2. Keeper
3. Keeper
4. Did I mention Keeper? No, really, though, I'd love to play Keeper but if you need me in another position I can do anything but Seeker, so other than that just feel free to put me where you need me.

As for the Captain position, I would like to, but it certainly won't break my heart if I'm not.

Wonderful idea, you guys!

Meghan

Meghan,

can you repeat your position of choice once more, I didn't quite catch it.

We will get back to you when we have more specific info.

Yay Quidditch!

Dear Mr. Weasley,

I thank you for the personal invitation. Imagine my surprise to find that Hogwarts has become a place to post public advertisements. I trust that all posters not confined to the Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw Common Room notice boards will be removed immediately. You may place one poster on notice board outside the Great Hall where we have the copy of the clean-up schedule and map.

Please let me know when and where you plan to play. I would very much like to arrange my schedule so that I'll be able to leave the grounds to catch an occasional match.

Sincerely,
Minerva McGonagall
Acting Headmistress
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Mr. Weasley,

If you believed the posters to have only been placed in the Common Rooms, then perhaps you might wish to determine the identity of your over zealous helper. There were posters everywhere this morning. Those in the Common Rooms may stay, as may one on the Quidditch Pitch notice board and one on the notice board outside the Great Hall.

Perhaps you might like to come visit me with Mr. Potter and Miss Johnson to discuss your plans and the possible availability of Hogwarts' Pitch?

Sincerely,
Minerva McGonagall

Minerva smiled. It really was a shame that the last of Molly and Arthur's brood were nearly done with their schooling and sighed when she realized how long it might be before she saw another Weasley pass through the doors.

Millie was more than a little surprised to see an owl swooping in and bringing her a letter. She was even more surprised when she saw it was from Harry and Ron. Still the idea of a Summer League was too good to pass up.

Harry and Ron,

Thanks for inviting me. I would like to participate.
Positions I am good at are Chaser and Keeper. Can be a fair Beater with some practice.

Hope this is acceptable

Millie
