Michael paced around the living room, waiting for his friends to arrive. He wasn't sure where the bowling alley was in London, so he'd told Parvati and Anthony at least to meet him here at the house before they headed off to their destination.
He checked his jumper and jeans one last time for crumbs or dirty spots, and pulled his wand and cast a cleansing charm on himself, just to be sure. He'd never had a serious girlfriend on his birthday before, and he was excited to be going out with Parvati. Saturday night they were headed home so his parents and Maggie could help him celebrate, and he hoped his Mum wouldn't embarrass him with baby pictures or silly childhood stories.
He dropped onto the couch, put his feet up, and waited for his friends to arrive.
