With one hand, Stephen held onto Cho; with the other, he rubbed the back of his neck. Perhaps it was a bad idea to bring Cho over. But he knew it was too late. She'd willingly accepted and he'd already owled his parents. His mother had written back a reply so quickly, Stephen was amazed his owl had been able to even get to their place. He could tell she was excited just by the way she'd replied to him.
He glanced over at Cho and tried to smile. "Ready?" He reached out and rang the doorbell. "Remember, we can always leave. You give me the signal, and we're gone."
