Dear Cho,

I hope you had a nice weekend. I wanted to thank you again for dinner the other evening and for not running away or leaving me. It meant a great deal to me that you were so accepting of my past, though it is most certainly dark in spots. I feel foolish for not talking to you sooner about what happened and almost happened to my family.

I had no idea that talking to you about it would lift a burden from my shoulders--a burden I did not realise I was evening carrying.

As you know, my family has weekly dinners at my parents' place. I usually avoid them when possible, but I feel it is somehow important that you should meet them. At least you would be able see who they are, who we are as a family, and create your own opinions. I feel you truly want to know me though I can't imagine why, and therefore, you should be allowed to know where I came from.

You are so important to me, and your opinions and desires are important. If you would like, I would be willing to take you over to dinner tomorrow night. But if you are not interested, I understand. I don't actually enjoy it either, but I wanted to offer you the opportunity.

Yours,

Stephen
