RP: Second Annual Autumn Ball

The ballroom looked amazing. The decorations were elegant, the candles were in place, the tables were arranged, the flowers were beautiful, and the dance floor was inviting. The musicians had already arrived and were on the stage in the dance floor area practicing and preparing for the main event. Pansy and Foreman Events had done an excellent job on everything. Andy did a final walk through before the doors opened to the public, noticing the different personal touches that Pansy had applied.
The staff were in the small kitchen area to the right of the congregation hall, tucked away from site and protected with silencing charms on their work station. She made sure that a charm was in place to prevent the room from smelling like food, too, because that had helped last time. There was a small bar set up in the front corner of the congregation hall, just like last year. The seating had proved to be adequate before, though there had been a few more tables added in the ballroom for those wished to rest between dances.
She had arrived at six, despite leaving most of the arrangements to Foreman's. Since she was responsible, overall, for the event, then she had wanted to make sure that everything had gone off as planned. Fortunately, Roger hadn't minded arriving early, so she had left him to find a drink while she checked everything. Esther was keeping Teddy tonight, since she remembered how tired she had been last year. There wasn't going to be a draining awards ceremony this year, at least, and she was here with a date instead of her nephew, so she hoped that it might be more enjoyable tonight.
It was half-six now, and she expected that some guests would begin arriving any moment now. She smoothed down the skirt of her dress and ran her fingers through her hair as she took a final look around the ballroom. It seemed that everything was in order, so she went to find Roger.
