Twilight was so peaceful to Luna. She was really happy Ginny had wanted to spend time with her, and it was nice that they'd just be walking the narrow path that ran by both of their homes. Luna didn't need to have lunch or go out for drinks to spend time with her friends, and she knew Ginny didn't either. She hummed as she walked, knowing she could have left a lot later and just Apparated, but wanting to enjoy the quiet evening.
She felt a little bad about going so long without seeing Ginny. Daddy told her it went both ways, but still, she could have been a better friend. She was happy Ginny was still interested in her.
Walking this way reminded her of last year's Autumn ball. It was hard to believe it had been a year since then. Things were so different last year, even so long after the war. She bent and picked up a smooth rock, wondering if it came from the stream behind her house. It had a pretty, pearly color, so she pocketed it. Maybe she'd make Ginny a necklace or something from it, to apologize for not keeping up with her. She didn't really have an excuse. She supposed life just got that way sometimes, especially when there wasn't an evil overlord looming and making sure the people you loved knew you loved them.
She spotted Ginny from far away and picked up her pace, skipping a little.
