Dean had decided that he quite liked French coffee. There were plenty of good restaurants, but these little places with the outdoor tables and scenic views were his favourite. He didn't care if the selection of food wasn't quite as enticing; the café was good, the sandwiches weren't bad, and he'd already filled an entire sketchpad with the sights. It was probably driving Seamus mad, but he thought he'd done a pretty good job balancing. It was hard to sketch after dark anyway, and they'd certainly found plenty to do in the evening hours that had nothing to do with artwork.
The sky was starting to darken now, but he was resisting. He wasn't ready to go home quite yet. "I can't believe it's been two days already," he said, glancing up at his friend for a second before once again concentrating on what was probably his fifteenth drawing of Notre Dame, which was visible across the river.
