She had thirty more minutes.

Parvati wasn't sure if things seemed to drag on now that she was thinking about other options or if she was just more aware of it. Sitting at her desk and glancing through the Prophet looking for any information pertaining to the Ministry or high power Ministry employees was not exactly her idea of a good time. She'd been doing this sort of thing for months now, and it seemed like the only thing she ever really did was desk work. Boring filing. Boring reading. Boring everything.

Additionally, they rarely had much for her to do. That should have been a good thing, a blessing even, but sitting at a desk staring at nothing all day was rather unfulfilling. Sure, getting paid was great, but this was pushing it. Really, when was the last time she'd done anything remotely important? Never.

She was scheduled to work at Gladrags tomorrow, so that was something to look forward to. Now that the ball had been announced business was certain to pick up, and the weekends would be crazy. It had been last year, and Julius didn't expect anything different for the second annual Autumn ball.

The idea of working for Julius full time was more tempting then ever, but that didn't mean she was quite ready to give up the title of Ministry employee. It was shallow, she knew that, but there was still a huge part of her desperate to make something of herself. Lately, she'd realized she wasn't actually getting anywhere with the Ministry worker title, though, and that she'd have a better shot of really being someone if she followed through with what she really loved.

Twenty more minutes.

Parvati sighed and ran her hands through her hair, pulling it out of its ponytail. She really needed to talk to someone. Padma said she'd be brilliant at whatever she did. Even Michael said she should do what made her happy. Thinking about Michael made her smile, and she glanced at the clock again.

Fifteen more minutes.

They didn't have plans for this weekend, but they seemed to manage to see each other this week, at least. She hadn't seen him since Monday, but didn't want to seem eager, either. They were spending time together, but not officially anything. Just whatever, and that was just fine.

Parvati scooted her chair up to her desk and finished her work for the day right as the clock hit five. Suddenly, she felt a strong urge to see Lavender. It was a Friday night, so she wasn't sure if she'd have plans or not. She was willing to take the risk, though, and grabbed her things. Flying through the Ministry, she burst out the lobby doors and apparated to Lavender's Grandmother's house. It might have been a quick decision, but was it ever a bad time to visit your best friend? Lavender had a different perspective on things than Padma did, plus, she hadn't seen her since she returned from her Holiday. Stepping up to the door, she knocked.
