Commencement of Summerrr Vacationnn!

Jun 16, 2005 20:21

I absolutely heart (yes, heart is a verb) the summerr!!!

So recently I've been doing nothing, but it's okay...i'm kind of relishing the time i have to be in a complete, out-of-my-mind, incontrollable state of ennui...b/c really, these glorious days don't last that long

Alas, senior prom and graduation are finally here...well in one more week, but still very close. I'm truly in such a euphoric mood right now, but I admit, there are a tad bit of melancholy feelings here and there..i mean, i just find it mind-boggling how i've grown up so fast that i am finally saying goodbye to schreiber AND to pdubz ...well, for the most part! It's daunting to think that whatever i decide to do now (pedagogically-speaking) will be what i want to do, and not something i have to do in order to fulfill a state-mandated curriculum.

I'm really excited for nyu next year!! I've met some of the coolest people everrr...and that's only like 2 people. Nevertheless, I'm excited to meet new people, experience a completely different life outside of suburbia, and um...live in greenwich village of course!!! I'm praying that I'm put in either Weinstein or Hayden Hall next year...and more importantly, I'm praying that I am put with a NORMAL roommate (preferably one that doesn't play an instrument of any sort).

Anyway, I'm going to start work...yes, that's right, i've actuallyy founddd a j.o.b. I'm starting next week, but it's only for a couple of hours. Then, i'm working at the rent's office (as usual). I love the girls at the office though..they are absolutely hilarious (seriously, wackiest, craziest people you will ever meet). I've also been doing a lot of reading lately. So far I've read "He's Just Not That Into You" and "Bergdorf Blondes," which is a really cute lil book (definitely recommend)! And I'll unveil my guilty pleasure..I actually did enjoy reading the paris hilton book at barnes and noble. I just couldn't help it! The cover was pink, sparkly, and I was just way too curious to see if this girl could actually form coherent sentences. But of course, the book was filled with mostly pictures and it took less than 30 minutes to read. But it was hot. haha wow..I amaze myself sometimes! I've also caught up on all the tv shows I've missed...and I cannot wait until June 21 (Real World Austin, TexAsss bitchess!!)

We'll I'm off to go watch a movie, or go out, or just bum around. xox
