Wow, okay so I haven't posted in a while. Well quite a few things have happened since...unfortunately though, it's a lot of bad news, which isn't always fun. Just two days ago, Nick Amodio (or "Coach Nick," as we know him) passed away when he stopped on Oyster Bay highway to help a stalled vehicle change a flat tire...however, a car unfortunately hit him as the driver of the car was "not paying attention." It's such a shame how the cause of Nick's death was not due to health-related issues or old age, but rather to the stupidity of drivers out there on the road. He was a young man with a family, (son is grad high school this year, wife works as a nurse) and he will be greatly, deeply missed. As for myself, I, along with my family, will truly miss him--not only was he a great family friend, but he was probably one of the most caring, generous and genuine guys out there--definitely one of a kind. I only hope that he may rest in peace and that his family may have the strength to move on during this horrible time.
On a different note, this time of year is really hectic. Prom is right around the corner and I still haven't gone out to find a dress (although I don't think I can/ really want to this wkend because of the tragedy). But after-prom definitely looks like it's going to be awesome. Very excited for that! I have recently joined the facebook crowd as well...what a better way to spend mindless hours doing nothing but looking up random people's facebooks. haha. And there's only two more weeks of school left...now that is great! Anyway I'm out, xox.
