oh-one-oh-two
Glargh..
So - we had a giftmasfeast-thing at work yesterday. After work. So I dutifully come in an hour "late"(just cause I can), and work the day as normal. Then going home to get all fancied up; and the car dun wanna start proper. I haffa give the throttle a thump affore it does. I chalk it up to a random occurence and drive home. Then the same happens as I drive off for the feast, all fancied up.
Lotsa food, lotsa laffs, some soda for drinkies and during late-at-night, people go home. (Let's just assume that I'm a real person, for now) And the car no wanna start. Even with the throttlethumping. I'm seeing a slight pattern here, but think up plans for what to do today when I head to the parents, while I'm getting some go-go-juice from the battery of another car - and off I go to deliver drunkenated people to close to their homes and go home myself.
So today I pack up some pressies that I'm sposta take to the parentals and stuff, and since I was out late, it was about 1 or half-past or something.. and the car doesn't work.
I call the auto-thingie that has free help twice a year(first time I've used) and after a long while(it was snowing, so probably a lot of people hadta be helped out of the ditch :P) he came and gave my battey some help. He wasn't big, burly or cute and had absolutely nothing in common with Chance. I was let down.
And after calling the parentals, one of which went spastic "Ohnoz! Somethings broekn! *breaks*" and the other one does a Jamie impression, I bought a battery. It's in the back of my car now. Hopefully, the car'll not-start tomorrow when I try to go home, cause if not, I just kinda wasted quite a few moneys on a battery :/
Oh.. and stupid bearmews dun wanna change the battery by the lonesome. The paternal unit doesn't quite have the expertise of Jamie, but he does have some of his handiness :)
Oh - and due to the snow, the road was all slushy and icky to drive on. The rain made the asphalt, or tarmac or asfalt or ashfalt or one of the other ways to say the same thing, do a black hole impression and suck up all the light >.<
Other than that - I got cake! :3
