[Tina's hotel room - responsible nurse is responsible]

May 04, 2010 16:37

Once James and Jim were on the other side of a door, it was a lot easier to think. And, thinking about it, Tina decided that maybe she'd better not shower before she contacted whoever she would be contacting. So she threw on a robe and started making some calls ( Read more... )

The knock at her hotel room door somehow managed to sound furtive. Spock checked again to make sure he was neither being followed or observed in any sort of general fashion.

The city was not as populated as he had expected. Many people seemed to prefer the indoors. Out of character, he would have thought, for Vulcans in any universe but it served his purposes.

Tina had opened the door before she had time to think better of it, and realizing who was on the other side effectively drove what little common sense she might have had right out of her mind.

"Oh my God! Spock!" She beamed at him, and threw her arms around his neck in an exuberant hug.

Wow, he smelled really good.

Oh shit. Oh. Shit.

She took several steps back. "Oh shit. Don't let Christopher kill me."

Her words did not immediately make sense but at least she was backing up into the room. Spock followed and pulled the door closed behind him, checked out the window for any signs of a pursuer that might be settling in to monitor his stay. Nothing.

"Christopher is not here and thus is unlikely to kill you at this precise moment. I do not think he would be so unreasonable in any event."

"I'm more worried about later." Tina was pressing her fingernails into her palms, trying to focus on not acting like a nymphomaniac. "Chances are good I'm going to try to kiss you or something in a minute, here."

She'd been vaguely aware that her friend was an attractive man, before now. But she'd missed, somehow, that he was really, really hot.

Her room was very warm for a human. And she seemed quite... odd.

"Tina, are you well? It is quite warm, beyond what I would believe you find comfortable."

He shrugged out of the hooded robe he'd used to cover the simple black clothes he'd taken to wearing. Very strange.

"I had hoped you might assist Christopher."

Her rational, nursing-trained brain reasserted itself abruptly. "Is he not recovering? What are the symptoms?"

But even as she was having her moment of professional concern, she couldn't stop looking at Spock, remembering the time she'd seen him with no clothes on, the lines of his body that she - for some inconceivable reason - hadn't properly appreciated at the time.

Spock wandered further into the room, loosened his collar absently. It was better than he had anticipated, to see Tina. She was lovely. Pregnancy suited her well. Though to find the fertile more attractive was, from an evolutionary standpoint, he supposed, only logical.

"He is not yet fully recovered from an... encounter we had with a certain faction I shall not name. But he is progressing. I merely... Tina, there are few people I trust to offer him treatment."

Christopher was waiting, angry at the necessity but grudgingly accepting that he would heal faster with medical assistance, at a hotel room Spock had secured and then made secure. They had ordered food, so Christopher would not be hungry and there was entertainment to be found on the view screen in the room. Spock nudged at the bond between them - Christopher was hungry and impatient. He was well, then.

That was sweet. It was sad that so few people really appreciated Spock's better qualities. He was funny, and insightful, and affectionate when he let himself be, and tall, with narrow hips, and...

"Fuck. Honey, I'm not kidding. There's something weird going on here and I've been infected or whatever, and you need to..." She'd been closing the distance between them without realizing it, and there he was, right there, with those full, soft-looking lips. She had to taste them.

So she did.

Tina was kissing him. Spock's mouth opened in shock at the feel of her very human lips, softer and smaller than Christopher's own lips, against his.

Christopher - Spockreached out and found his mate strangely warm, strangely aroused, strangely touching the delivery woman who had brought him food and beverage.

Christopher?

But as he was casting out the shocked thought toward his mate, Spock's own temperature increased, his own response to Tina's body moving toward him... He had seen her in her underwear. It had been attractive. He was largely ignorant of female bodies beyond their combat capabilities. It was rational to gather more information. Rational to part his lips further when her tongue explored them.

Wrong. Dangerous. Spock gripped Tina's upper arms with his burning fingers and held her away from him.

"What is this?"

"I don't know," Tina said, a little desperately. In more than one way. "It's been happening to people all over the city."

She was wearing a sleeveless top. His hands were on her bare skin. It was driving her totally fucking crazy.

And she was picking up flashes of... Christopher? With a woman. Right now.

Well, at least he'd know how strong the compulsion was.

If Spock wasn't so strong, she'd be plastered up against him already. Why were they so far apart? Why, when they could be so close?

Tina's skin was warm and smooth and really very pleasing from a tactile perspective. His grip lightened unconsciously but he still sent most of his focus to his mate. Christopher? What is happening?

His mate's groan was all but audible as it traveled along the bond. Whatever was affecting Tina was also affecting Christopher, the delivery woman, and... Spock himself. The current of arousal flowing through the bond simply amplified what he was already feeling.

Spock's fingers shifted to actually stroking Tina's arms, enjoying the texture from elbow to shoulder - he would have been shocked at his action any other time but it seemed to make perfect sense in this moment. Christopher's attention was caught by it, by the knowledge of Spock and "that woman" but there was little objection he could make, given the circumstances. His anger was clear, though, and Spock's mind spared a moment of clarity to reassure his mate, to emphasize the bond between them no matter what.

Then he pulled Tina back toward him for another kiss.

Bad idea. Bad, bad idea. Bad idea that felt like a really, really good idea.

Kissing Spock was electric, filled with all the anticipation of learning a new partner, exploring what touches and angles and pressure pleased best, with a sharp - and terrifying, when she could think about it - tang of the forbidden. His body against hers as they pressed together was hard and spare, an interesting contrast to her previous lovers, who'd all been of a different build.

His hold on her arms lightened, softened, and she reached for one of his hands, twining their fingers together as she licked her way into his mouth.

Kissing, Spock was familiar with kissing. But not soft like this. And Tina's fingers sliding along his own offered sufficient impetus for him to free his other hand from her arm and thread it through her hair instead, to hold her still for deeper, better tasting.

Her body felt strange as it shifted against him. She was shorter than Christopher, shaped entirely differently, and the protrusion of her belly kept brushing aginst him. Her belly...

Spock pulled his mouth away with some difficulty. "Tina, you are pregnant..." He would not harm her unborn child, even in the face of this strange compulsion to touch her.

"I'd noticed." She laughed. "It's okay, you can't hurt her."

He couldn't, but that didn't mean that what they were doing was okay. Only, she couldn't remember that for more than an instant at a time.

She went up onto her toes and kissed the corner of his mouth, the point of his jaw just below his earlobe. She wanted to suck on the tips of his ears. Later, when she could reach.

It most assuredly was not okay. And yet Spock watched himself, as if from outside his own body, as though he were not in direct control of himself, pull her closer, tighter against his own body and then toward the bed.

Were it Christopher, the floor would suffice but there was something in his mind that was still working, that was screaming quite loudly that Tina would not enjoy that sort of treatment.

Though the Vulcan delivery woman currently occupying the floor of their hotel room, underneath Christopher's bulk certainly seemed to find it acceptable. Spock shook his head to clear the image.

Tina's bed had clean sheets and it was logical to pursue new experiences. He pulled her back for another kiss where they stood. She was softer. And she smelled quite delicious.

The arousal was so overpowering, even after everything she'd done with James and Jim, that it was all Tina could do to push back the now now now of it and try to take her time. But though she couldn't think why they shouldn't be doing this, why this wasn't right and perfectly natural, she could remember that Spock, for all his oversharing, was fundamentally inexperienced with anyone not Christopher.

She wanted to yank his shirt off. Instead, she slid her hands underneath it, slowly, her palms flat against his smooth, warm skin.
