This is so sad, and so pointless. Given that the war has ended, and they are still fighting. Kind of like the war of 1812, the battle near New Orleans. I wonder how Oliver would feel, knowing later on, that he killed his former lover for no reason.

Written under thirty minutes means good things abound. The amount of intensity and emotional build-up in this fic is amazing. Marcus is so Slytherin, so angry and so hateful of the good things, but at the same time, he’s. Like, human. It’s easy to understand Marcus when he is like this, and you make it so believable and true, that for a moment I almost hate Oliver because he’s so intent on doing ‘what’s right’.

There are so many wonderful parts to this fic, like this--

taking that damn Mark like it actually meant something.

That little statement is all that needs to be said. I can fill in the resentment and almost-apathy of Marcus from just that.

Keepers always lean in the direction of the hoop they're determined to guard, and every keeper has a favorite hoop.

And this, hee! Quidditch-talk! I love reading about the intricasies of Quidditch! It fascinates me to no end and this is so clever and, like. Cool. (I’m not a very good speakee, can you tell?) But oh--
