I had a mouse Tuesday. Inside, I mean. I kept seeing this tail disappearing into dark little corners, and finally caught a look -- yep: mouse.
I wasn't sure whether he was here to stay or not -- he really looked like he was desperate to get out of here. (I should take that as a sign, I think -- when even a mouse doesn't want to live in your space, you need to take steps.)
No sign of him since, though. Either he's gotten very good at not being noticed, or he figured out how to make his exit. Just in case, though, I checked and, yes, my Jewel has live traps. (I try to avoid killing anything that doesn't bite me first. Except cockroaches. Fortunately, I haven't seen a cockroach in years.)
See what happens when you don't have a cat for a few years? (Come to think of it, that may explain the recent upsurge in mice and rats outside -- no more neighborhood cats wandering around loose.)
