Well all dreams must come to an end...

Well not really my dream but my want to start riding a motorcycle and owning one without having any help from my parents has come to an end. All of my finances were in order I had the money to purchase the bike, I got a new job to cover my insurance (more on that later) and when I get ready to get all of this done and put down the $1000 to make my first big purchase as an adult, the bike got sold from under me. The 1994 Kawasaki Ninja 600R was owned by my friend Chris's dad. We had agreed in principle for me to purcahse the bike awhile ago but I had wanted to get another job before completing the transaction until I got a call from Chris last Thursday saying that I needed to make a decision soon. Friday I went and started putting in applications (4 to be exact) at various places with openings and I finally got my motorcycle permit. I called Larry (Chris's dad) Friday night and asked him to give me a call. When I was with Chris on Saturday I had asked him to call his dad twice and supposedly he got his answering machine and I called Chris again on Sunday to have him ask his dad to give me a call. When I got off of my hour of work Monday I called Chris and after getting his voicemail he called me back saying that his dad sold the bike to Chris's sister boyfriend Will. I asked when and he told me Monday. What really pissed me off is that Chris blew it off like it was nothing and didn't even want to talk about it and I haven't talked to him sense. After the last couple days to think I have come to a painful realization. As good a friend as I am to Chris he hasn't been able to return the favor. If the situation was switched and he needed something for my dad I would hound my dad until he called Chris. I just wouldn't say one thing and then let it be like I had done my job. For that I have done for Chris with basically being his driver when he was getting his car painted for almost 3 months and helping him out basically whenever he needed it, I deserved better from him.

Well that was long . . . I got a new job at Sport Clips as a receptionist, I guess its ok it pays 6.50 an hour plus tips so works out between 7.50 and 8.00 and hour. The way that I kind of think about is that it is a job until something better comes along. I would still like to go back to Circuit City, I applied but haven't called my former manager yet. I haven't decided if I will yet. Well I have to go get ready for my softball game. Later.
