the good the bad and the annoying

I love my apartment. It's not huge, or large in anyway really, but it's perfectly sized just for me. It has a great set up with one bedroom, a good size living room, decent yet modest size bathroom, and the kitchen is more than a wall of appliances... It's clean, and pretty, it has hardwood floors and brand new kitchen and windows... and the building manager is awesome. The only annoying part is the plaster walls, but I can live with that :) especially because my bedroom has a cedar closet.

Over the course of the last 10 months of living there, I have had a few small issues, the biggest of which was my upstairs neighbor flooding her bathroom which then of course leaked into mine... and each time I've had to call for maintenance, the guy has called me back quickly and gotten permission to enter my place and then fixed whatever was wrong!

And over the course of this time the building has gotten much quieter as the problem people have moved out. Though there is lots of echo and sound travels really really well in the all brick and wood building, it is usually people coming and going that is heard or my upstairs neighbor walking around every so often... It is acceptable "noise"

Well the gentle quiet that I have grown accustom to now was interrupted as I hit snooze on my alarm clock this morning and was re-awakened by the dulcet tones of a infant SCREAMING... sigh. I have a new next door neighbor and she comes complete with a noise machine in the form of a tiny life form. At least it only screamed for about 20 minutes before it stopped. *note the sarcasm*
