Writing Wrongs

My play makes me sad. It's fine, but.... It's so low brow. There are lines that make me cry from laughter, but overall it just makes me want to cry.

After finishing ever scene, I'm like: Ugh! Really? Ugh! I had to stop today, because of Cuttley Bear. All the way to 109. Yay! For the play there are three scenes left. I'd do them tonight, but I need a break.

Normally, I like comedy, but the preminition of it's failure mixed with fart jokes....make it less fun. I figured out the name of the hero family, and it allowed me to touch up act 1, scene 2 yesterday.

BILL: Yours isn’t the only family that made this a wonderful place to live.  My family, the Pooters, have been in manure since this town was formed, and it looks like a Killjoy’s the one who’s going to finally shovel off our legacy.

RODGER KILLJOY: You Pooters have a proud heritage to be sure. ...
Once I finish, I have to do three context read throughs.  I'm already considering calling them "Potters," and having Killjoy refer to them as "Pooters" and then Bill gets to correct him with "Potters."  It's a little less tongue-in-cheeck.

Oh well, I'm up to my ears in Pooters and Killjoys.  I'm going to go out tonight and refect on both.
