And I call Gold's which is brand new and just opened today but anyway, I say that it is my husband and I looking and that I want pricing information. The lady says that monthly costs are $34-44 a month with $30 additional for each person. Then I ask, "How about enrollment fees?" And the answer is that yes they do have enrollment fees and if you come see the place they will give me discounts on the enrollment fees and incentives but that they don't give that information out over the phone because they want people to see the place.
I have to say that a response like that makes me least likely to check out Gold's Gym. If they can't be upfront with me from the beginning and do all kinds of wheeling and dealing when it comes to fees what does that say about how they are going to treat us?
By the way Bally, Wisconsin Athletic Club, and Elite Fitness all had no problems outlining the exact fees involved over the phone.
