Well, it's been a while since I last posted and stuff has been happening, so I guess it's time to let you guys know what's going on.
The new quarter has started. The classes I have this quarter are Programming in the .NET Framework with VB.NET and C#, Structural Programming, and Contemporary World Culture. The VB and C# class is gonna be basically eleven weeks of programming to keep our skills sharp and it looks like a lot of fun. The Structural Programming course is going to be more of a review of everything we ought to know about programming, including the planning techniques and the words to describe what we know. That class will probably be interesting, too. I'm not sure about how the Culture class will be. Looking over the book it could be fascinating, but since this is ITT and the class is a general education course I'm not getting my hopes up.
The instructor for the Structural Programming class didn't show up today, the first day of class, so the program chair came in and led the class in going over the syllabus.
I've gotten a second job, as I mentioned in a comment to Phil. The job is working at a movie theater. The pay isn't great, but one of the benefits is free movies for myself and up to two guests. It's supposed to be one friend and two family, but the family category tends to be stretched. Actually tomorrow I'm going to watch "The Illusionist" since it looks like a decent movie.
An update on my progress with the certification, I've finished the video and book portion of the material so I'm looking at the practice test and reviewing to get myself ready for the real test.
In FFXI my white mage has made it to level 65. I leveled bard to 17 with a party from my linkshell. I've made many gil in various ways, including playing with the "Strange Apparatus" a mostly broken machine that makes items out of an infinity core and a crystal chip. I've leveled my character's cooking skill to 69 out of 100. If that means anything to you I know you're playing FFXI.
The Thursday edition of 8-bit Theater had a joke I particularly enjoyed.
Check it here. Just remember it's only a joke, Phil.
