The birth records for Minnesota from 1935-2002 are online at Ancestry.com.
Really; I looked up the record for a couple of people I knew who are still alive and found them, complete with birthdate, birth county, and who their parents were.
If I were a person bent on identity theft, this would be a gold mine.
I am writing a letter to Ancestry.com, but I think a letter also needs to go to the Minnesota Dept of Vital Records, or whoever released these records, and they need to pull these records off-line. I am working on finding that address.
After all, when I submit my database, it is ritually cleansed of data regarding living individuats. I can't imagine that they would circumvent this with actual public data.
