You'd think that a month of internet deprivation would've prompted me to read a book. Nope.

I'm BACK! After reading the riot act to a very nice woman at Cox, I am now fully internet-functional, and it only took THREE WEEKS. Anyway, I'm here, and they're not going to charge me for anything, and it will all be okay except that MY FLIST OH MY GOD Y'ALL. It's been a month. I'm a leeeetle bit behind.

Okay, so, in absolutely no particular order except that which they pop into my head:

Reposting this from the wonderous and effervescent glamourcorpse because I was all worried about the Coraline movie and this makes me feel better. Somehow I was certain it was live-action, thank god I was wrong.

ETA: And by this I mean this: http://io9.com/5094004/how-coralines-designers-created-an-entire-world-from-thread-and-buttons
For I am occasionally a moron.

Neil and I are going to Pennsylvania tomorrow to pick up his new cat. He has to go to PA for a cat because he's allergic, so he's getting a Siberian, which are said to be hypoallergenic. It will be a kitten, and it will be ADORABLE. I'm a little worried that he will turn out to be allergic anyway, which means he'll have to take the kitten back to the breeder, which would be heartbreaking. Let's hope for the best.

Speaking of hope, OED III tells me that OED II was scheduled to go home from the hospital last night. OED II, the director of Leprechaun, had a massive heart attack two weeks ago, and scared the crap out of everybody. It sounds like he's doing much better. He was actually acting in the current show, and he had the heart attack DURING a SHOW, and he FINISHED THE SHOW. Because he's INSANE. But we love him that way. Anyway, everybody pray, incant, think good thoughts for him and matchstyx, okay?

My apartment is, like, 95% done. Pictures to follow, but suffice it to say, it is gorgeous. I just have to finish a little bit of floor under the fireplace hearth and pop on a couple of thresholds downstairs and I'm declaring myself done, at least until the desire to redo the bathrooms overwhelms me. I've run out of money, however, so it will have to wait.

I have cooked dinner for myself, like actual dinners that started with raw ingredients and weren't pasta or baked potatoes, twice in the last week. This pleases me. I've also passed out both of the last two nights after two glasses of cheap wine. I am officially a lightweight.

While buying Christmas presents for my presents, I also found Dirty Jobs Season 3 for $20 and had to buy it for myself. So I've been watching it non-stop for the past four days. Good stuff.

Okay, I may post again later. I'm just so happy about the internet.
