Dragon*Con is almost over. I'm in our room in the perilous dark, Patty asleep beside me, typing this as I listen to the movable party outside on the streets -- it's a group of about 40 people who run from corner to corner jumping up and down and cheering to the sounds of a boom box ( Read more... )

The thing I love so dearly about Dragon*Con is that sense that everyone can be a star. I joke that I fly across country to attend Dragon*Con so that I don't have to drive 90 minutes south to attend Comic-Con.

I went to one Comic-Con, back in 2004. I was one of the Teeming Masses, swept along with the tide of fanboi's. Too many people in too small a space for them all.

Never again.
