batting down the hatches
Just cleared out all the stuff in our front yard, brought it all inside. I can't believe we're about to get a hurricane. It's been forever since the last one, and I was a kid then, so I barely remember it.
I'm hoping that it's like Earl was last year and doesn't do much of anything, but all the weather reports have crapped all over that hope.
I feel bad for the Carolina's seems to be they are going to get the worst of it, and doesn't that always happen?
Here in MA, I don't know how big of a storm we'll get. Feel for the cape and islands. Where will they go?
All this on top of the freaky mini earthquake from a few days ago. Geez.
My mom and I felt the quake but nobody else did. My bed was shaking and I was like, wtf is that? My cat didn't seem at all bothered lol
I never imagined it was an earthquake! So freakin' random.
And now a hurricane. I swear, Mother Nature has been giving the U.S. the finger all year long.
Gee, can't wait for the winter! *eye roll*
I just hope that any damage isn't severe and that there are no injuries.
