Poor grandma. I feel so bad for her. She had Scarlet Louise for 15 years and since she lives alone, that was her constant companion. :(
I never know what to say to people anyway, but man. It's something to hear your grandma crying. Just breaks your heart.
At least she gave uncle David the house the cat lived in. She's right, that would have been a hurtful reminder. And like she said, when she's ready to get a new cat she will. And she can have the cat house all ready for the new arrival.
It was also nice of him to bury the cat near his own cat so that they can be together. And whenever grandma goes to visit, she can go visit her baby too.
I just feel so incredibly bad for her that she has to go through this. having to see her cat suffer like that, but I think she did the right thing. She put the cat out of her misery and now she is no longer in pain. It would have been so much worse if grandma had found Scarlet dead. And I'm sure the vet wouldn't have agreed it was time if it wasn't time.
I wish I had a way of getting to her house so I could give her a hug. We really need a car. I hope that when Amy comes next week, she is able to get down here to see everyone.
R.I.P. Scarlet Louise.
