Just got back from voting. It was an adventure, as most of my trips are, but I'm so glad that I went.
I had to wait for a funeral percession to pass by before I could cross the street, then I had to wait for the not working crosswalk light, gave up and just went for it. We have 7 hills here and I had to hike up all of them. It's not too bad out but I was DYING by the time I reached the top. There was a lady in a gray coat who was walking on the other side of the street so I didn't feel totally alone, thanks Gray Coat Lady! I had to dodge an obstacle course of trash cans on the sidewalk but I made it.
Followed a nice man into the polling place and then cast my ballot. (after having to repeat my info to the old man who was taking it.) Then I had another session of OMG THIS IS MY STREET/NUMBER/NAME with another old woman and then I shoved my ballot in the box and got out,
It was so much easier coming back down, still had to take my life in my hands and jet out in front of cars and then I walked back into my house. Have no sticker but they left a VOTE TODAY doorknob hanger on the mailbox, so I guess that will have to do. ;p
Vote. Cause if you don't, you can't bitch and complain. And don't we all love to bitch and complain?
I think I'm going to go lie down now. I'm still dying. ;p
