Year 44 Week 14 Friday

Whoo hoo!  Another big milestone.

The 3yo Steward-bred turf mile filly Seattle Sound beat older fillies and mares in the Grade 1 Japanese Mile, and therefore becomes my fifth Grade 1 stakes winner this season, a new record, and this is also the seventh Grade 1 victory for the season, which is also a new record.  It's such a wonderful thing to have such nice horses.  Over half of those Grade 1 wins have been female turf mile races, thanks to this filly and homebred Messages.  Another notable turf mile filly is 2yo Steward-bred A Taste of Rain, who was second in the Grade 1 Paris Grand Criterium.

I also finally got a Thoroughbred Game Point Sired winner for this season, that being homebred dirt route filly Melts, who was second Week 12.  Homebred Proud Paramour was third in both races.

Second in a Grade 3 was 2yo homebred turf sprint filly Under Done, while bridesmaids in their GPS stakes were homebred dirt sprint colt Happy High and homebred dirt mile colt Stole the Prize.

Third in a Grade 2 was 5yo Steward-bred turf mile gelding Trigger, and third in a Grade 3 was 2yo homebred turf mile filly Kick High.  Getting a listed stakes third was 2yo homebred turf mile colt Pulitzer Prize.  Third in GPS stakes were homebred dirt route colt Fake Garnish and homebred dirt sprint colt Pierro Next.

57: 6-13-12 for 11% wins, 54% OTB, and earnings of 570k.
