Year 44 Week 13 Sunday
With three-quarters of Year 44 over, my stable is still at a gollygeewow level of success. As I have been all year, I'm second in wins (a stable record 649), third in stakes victories (already a huge record of 108), and fourth in purse earnings (already the second most ever, at 15 million).
Wins are still at a record 20% and OTB at a record 62%. EPS is quite a bit higher than normal, at 4656.
Arabians lead in strike rates, with 23% wins and 75% OTB. Thoroughbreds lead in everything else, with earnings per start of $4852.
Only two breeds -- Appaloosas and Trotters -- havea n EPS under $4000. The Standardbreds are the only breeds with less than 19% wins, both at 11%.
Quarter Horses are second in stakes horses, with a whopping 13 winning a total of 21 stakes races, the vast majority being routers.
So, I'm eager to see how things end up. I'm expecting at least three starters in the Thoroughbred Steward's Cup races -- turf mile filly Messages, dirt sprint filly Wilder Mind, and 2yo turf sprint colt Danny Pink.
I should also hit 7000 wins -- only the fourth player to ever do so -- sometime within the next couple of weeks.
