I think that most Christians who propagate the whole "homosexuality is a choice" viewpoint are the types of Christians who have never met a homosexual, or if they have, never really got the chance to know them. Looking straight from the Bible, it would make perfect sense for one to write homosexuality off as just a choice, because in the bible there are instances of God punishing people based on homosexaul acts and it begs the question- why would God create something innate in someone which he himself disdains? However, if one spends time with homosexuals and at all trys to get to know them, it is apparent that they did not make this choice for themselves. I make this observation based on my personal experiences with honestly, dozens of people..of all the homosexuals I've ever met, none of them has ever said "Yeah, I could quit anytime I want...this is just more fun." The answer may lie in several things- lack of a father figure, confusion about gender roles, innate genetics, I do not know the answer. All I know is that homosexuals do not make the choice to be homosexual. I also don't feel qualified to judge homosexuals. All I can do to Any individual, including homosexuals, is to love them, and show them the love of Christ. If they choose to give their life over to him, thats great. Christ will work in their life to fix their problems. Robert Kahne has no role in trying to fix their problems. This is why I hate it when people say "turn from your wicked ways and make Christ your savior." the true quote should be "Make Christ your savior, he will help you turn from your wicked ways."

Hope that helped. Who is lounash? You've been commenting, but I don't know who you are.

Darn. I was hoping you wouldn't ask - but not because I want to be deceptive. We are really just getting to know one another and since I am the most non-confrontational person on the planet I can be a little more forth-coming with my questions this way. And honestly, your world view on most topics is different than anyone else's that I hang out with in my little bubble. I still disagree with you on many things, but I respect you as a person and find it interesting to know why you think what you think. I've always used lounash as my screen name. You will know me better as your curfew doula. I'm not done with this whole Focus on the Family discussion, but I guess it can wait for a night at the BBC.

come on now, that point is air-tight. It is to me, anyway. I have spent a lot of time thinking about these things, and coming to conclusions. I can't reason it out any better than that.

and that is suprising to hear that you are who you are. lounash doesnt have anything to do with your name.
