y'know what would be great? if all of the england team would play their club football and gell. we have the best squad in the tournament. the most depth. but they just CANNOT play as a team. gerrard and lampard. excellent midfielders for liverpool and chelsea respectively. stick 'em in the england team and they're crap. the defence can't mark effectively, but it has people like ashley cole and rio ferdinand in it. just what the hell is going on?!

england portugal tomorrow. i hope you'll be on our side. KO is at 4 uk time. Kentucky is in the middle yeh? so for you it'll be somewhere between 9 and 11? anyway. i dunno what's gonna happen.

no man, we get premier league over here on a delayed basis. it comes on in the afternoon and it sure beats doing homework.

More than likely, you are right about England and how they should have the best side. I have this guy who read my lj who seriously wishes he was British who keeps yelling about that. At least you aren't for the good ole US of A. We had our shot and totally blew it. Had to beat GHANA. GHANA! and failed. We should stick to basketball, baseball, and (American) football.

I'll definietly be watching the game tomorrow. I'll be for England, as it is the Motherland. I am white and speak English, yet am from the Western Hemisphere, and that is mostly Englands fault.

haha good to know, i'll be down the pub with my friends getting drunk and shouting abuse at the massive tv screen as peter crouch continues to soil our great national name.

i was rooting for the US before they got knocked out. i like that they're so pathetic at football, it's nice to see countries as small as ghana get the better of you. but still. you have spirit. i thought you were gonna make it in the game against italy when you went ahead and then they lost that guy for elbowing that striker or yours i like. i forget his name.

so yeh, hoping that england can gell together finally tomorrow and play like they can. if rooney plays well, lampard and gerrard get their acts together, and peter crouch gets lost on the way to the stadium then things may start to look up.

the last bit about referees is a bit stupid, i'd generally frown upon moaning about referee decisions. but it was an argy yesterday. i love england. i just wish stuff would come right for us once in a while.

saw it. i watched it with my mother, who was rooting hard for portugal because she thought ronaldo was cute. i told her he was a snitch and will should most likely never set foot in manchester again for fear of losing his life (I loved that paragraph about him from that article). wayne rooney should probably avoid the island for a while as well, as he mostly cost you all the game. tell that kid to calm down, it would serve him well.

really though, it was over as soon as it went to penalties. PKs don't mix well with England. I did learn that from BBC sport.

Ah well, theres always tennis, right? No Americans left in that tournament either. I just hope all the French find time to watch their bicycle race with their team still in the thing. I don't suppose anybody is watching F1, since Italy is still alive.
