Just an update.
This is just an update on the Brisa Contreras (fellow Courtesy Clerk) situation. I found that we both acted rather immaturely. I have since apologized to her and she apologized to me. And we forgave each other and are moving forward and onward.
However, I haven't been feeling very well lately. Day before yesterday I came home with a serious, full-body sunburn. And when I am sunburned, I have high fevers, migraine headaches, painful puffed up and swollen eyes, and runny nose that turns into nose bleeds. Just all around miserable. I put aloe ointment all over my body, take cool/tepid showers and take Ibuprofen (fever reducer medication) and take naps. So basically my 4th of July was not the best but certainly not the worst.
I and my family did have some perks yesterday. We were expecting company but they called and cancelled. So it was just me, Mom and Dad and we enjoyed our dinner together. For us, dinner consisted of grilled chicken-which Dad cooked and prior to the cooking, Mom made the marinade and soaked the chicken in the marinade the night before- devilled eggs, watermelon, cantalope, and potato salad. For dessert, we had blueberry/strawberry trifel. Yummy! Afterwards, we sat outside to watch the fireworks, even though the fireworks display in our neighborhood was cut short due to the overcast conditions the weather was displaying.
I also had to work yesterday. One of the other perks of yesterday is that our Safeway store is/was pushing for more surveys and giving away free drinks (sodas) to entice people to take our survey. I managed to get my name on a few surveys so I am hoping against hope that I get good, if not great, results. If I don't, oh well. At least I made an effort.
Well I have to get going because I have a 9 a.m shift today. Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!
