I think that's why fanfiction is harder to write than original fiction, you have to stay true to the characters, but you did an excellent job :D

I can see what you mean. I personally find original more difficult to write, it's some weird hink in my personality, all my female characters become me and all my male characters become whatever person I'm fixated on at the time, unless I actually really seriously sit down and plot out their entire journey and personality first. With telelvision and movie, I find it sorta easier, because I tend to deconstruct the characters whilst watching whatever it is, or reading it, so I can kinda build up a profile. Also I tend to just go with it, and hope it turns out okay.

Well, that's how my original fiction is :D the female character is 'the would-be me' and the male character is the guy I'm hooked on =P I totally didn't write any fanfiction at all at first, until I found Heroes and that got me going :D not I'm attempting Primeval as well! I love reading fanfiction because every fan has this idea of what a character is like and I like to read someone else's take on it :D

I started with short stories, original, and for some unknown reason exceedingly dark and then I started fanfic with stargate sg-1 and Atlantis.
I've tried Heroes fic and I'm trying to write some at the moment, but I'm a bit of a porn whore and I can't really find a pairing I like overly within Heroes, I kinda like Peter/Claude and Matt/Ted Sprague, but other than that.
A friend of mine has given me a challenge to write a kink fic for at least 10 different pairings within Heroes, which I'm planning, but it's trying to find pairings I can see happening, which is a bit of a problem with Heroes and the amount of animosity.

Ya me too, first short stories but extremely luvy-duvy and overly mushy :D yes, I'm a snuggle and fluff whore =P

I tried some Stargate but I don't really have any OTP pairing in there so I gave that up.

My OTP for Heroes is Sylar/Eden or Gabriel/Eden because they actually have loads of things in common... was challenged to write AU Peter/Gabriel and that is working amazingly for me! Though Heroes has so many kinky pairings it's difficult to chose, personally I like Sylar/Claire as well or Peter/Sylar because they're opposites.

I'd love to read some of your Heroes stuff some time, maybe I'll check out your stargate stories :P

Some of my stargate ones are fluffy if I was in a fluffy mood, and I'm hoping to finish a heroes one in the near future, I've got a short porny Peter/Isaac piece in the offing at the moment, that's been attacking my ankle since I had the bunny. I've also got a threesome primeval, that doesn't seem to want to be written.
I don't really care for OTP pairings, I like to read anything as long as it's well characterised, or well written, or even just has an interesting plot, I kinda pulled out of the Torchwood fandom after they all started being the same fic with few standouts.
However first things first I have to finish a Robin Hood piece that is languishing in the unfinished folder of my computer.

Also that Icon is really pretty. Despite absolutely adoring Connor I do think Stephen is pretty, as is Captain Ryan, really pretty!

I like him, but had to agree with a review I wrote saying that he wouldn't be out of place in a hair gel advert! I just prefer Connor, and I really can't stand Claudia, then again I don't really tend to like the Mary-Sue-ish character type and there's something about her that just makes me want to slap her. Ditto with Gwen in Torchwood, I guess I see her as competition!

Ya, I suppose Stephen has that mysterious thing in him and he can really to everything! He's the muscles and Nick the brainz ;) I kinda like all the characters in Primeval except Helen, I curse that woman! She almost made me dislike my Stephen!!

*lol* I'm not sure how I feel about Gwen... she's a little too good girl for me.

To be honest I'd sorta figured out the affair thing, it was kinda obvious, or it was a toss up, between either Helen was his sister, his mother or his lover! And I was relly hoping it was the last one, as it gives some meat for them to play with next year! SO it should be cool to watch them get away with working together and not killing each other in the process!
Gwen just annoys me sooo much, there's just something about her, I think it's the whole she's the heart or Tw and she's a complete bitch, with apparently no morals, less than Owen at least...

I totally didn't see that last episode coming, though I must say that when Stephen said 'sometimes you can be a real bitch' my fangirl heart jumped out of my chest! Finally someone with the balls to say it to her face! *sigh* and she still didn't flinch! *hates her even more*

My annoyance lays with Owen, can't stand him, probably just his face or something =P

So many people can't stand Owen. I absolutely love him! He's awesome, compared to the rest of the team he's the most honest and in touch with reality really. Ianto locked his girlfriend in the basement, Gwen is just a bitch, Jack is lying to everyone and Tosh is just lost really, with hardly any character developement...
I just hope they use the second series to redeem their cast, although we do have James Masters and Freema Agyeman to buck up their ideas.
