Two Weeks Later...
..................................................
An update comes along that will change the way you look at journal entries forever...Well, if you're desperate for entries like that.
Well, it's actually been 18 days between entries, but who's counting right? I'll be the first one to tell you that things have been pretty hectic lately. I've been taking a bunch of hours doing graphics with the artists getting mysteriously sick with whatever is going around, and then add that on top of the Friday and Saturday nights at the yacht club, and you usually get one busy person.
Graphics work has been all right, besides the whole having to go to sleep at 8:30 / 9 PM and having to get up at 2:30 AM to be into work at 4 thing. We just recently put a couple new things in the graphics center, for those techies that are interested. We have two new 30" flat panel Cinema HD Display monitors that go for $2,499 each, and then add in the Xserve RAID 1 Terabyte online storage system for $5,999 and the two Power Mac G5 Dual 2.7 GHz systems for $2,999 each, and you get a lot of cash spent just on hardware.
As far as bartending training goes, it's been pretty good too. The only complaint I have is that it's taking up my Friday and Saturday nights, the nights I usually go out, or there are still some weekends that I wish I were up in NY instead of stuck in Norwalk serving drinks to middle-aged and older people without signs of a tip in sight. I did get five bucks one night from someone, but it turns out he was the lawyer for the club. There's a no tipping policy there, so I shouldn't expect anything when I'm back there, but once in a while someone will slip you something. You're supposed to split the tip if you're working with someone unless you started the order, because then it would be all yours.
I guess I can get into Halloween a little bit. I didn't think I was going to be doing anything until I got invited somewhere the last minute. I had been shopping around for my costume, and was trying to go for a mad scientist type look, but more along the lines of Mr. A from McMahon (for those who know who that is, if not...)

Anyway, I wanted to get some kind of horseshoe balding wig but nobody had it, and so then I went for the Doc Brown ala Back to the Future looking wig at Party City. Since I didn't think I was doing anything though because nobody called, I didn't end up getting it and it ended up selling out. So, I had to think of something else quickly and just decided to mess my hair up to make it a bit wild.
I put some rectangular glasses on that mom let me borrow and hung the left side crooked on my nose and everything, put some pens in my shirt pocket, wore a tie and put that in my other shirt pocket to make it look dumb. I wore dress pants but I pulled them up so high they were almost to my chest, and I put a belt on and tightened it so the pants wouldn't move, then just wore a button down shirt with the sleeves cuffed and the Rolex watch of course, and dress shoes. I wish I would have taken a picture.
Anyway, I ended up at Alchemy with Ivan and his friend Dave, and we got to go in the 21 and over entrance. I was very excited since it was my first time getting an entrance bracelet, don't laugh at that. They were supposed to be having a costume contest with: scariest, most original, best overall, sexiest, and funniest categories. I wanted to go with funny but it turns out that they overruled it with a best looking group category and I didn't even get a chance to win any cash, but everyone loved my costume and they laughed the whole night. I ended up being a 'special' person and talking like one and dancing like one, just clapping my hands in the air and stuff and rotating my hips hah, I stayed in character all night.
I don't really have any news of other things going on, went on another date and it went pretty well, and she likes where this is heading so we'll see what happens. I'm a little worried because of some stuff happening, but hopefully everything is alright. It's been almost a month since our first date, but it doesn't feel like that long though. I would take that as a good sign.
I'm also kind of starting to get in the holiday spirit, but it's hard to when you know that you'll be working on those days since your family doesn't really celebrate anything anymore. I feel so bad because Damion asked me what I'm up to, as if he were going to invite me for some festivities up there. I'm saving money to get myself something nice, and I'm going to try my best to satisfy everyone else too. Last year I barely had enough for everyone and had to resort to cheap stuff, but I want to try and get something all the people who've been sticking around with me lately. Make sure you get on my nice list everyone =p
Until next time (it'll hopefully be less than two weeks from now hah)
