(no subject)
i hate going to work on mondays. especially when there's no work to be done. so i read fanfic. and was uncomfortable all day because of reasons not to be named. then on my way home i was delayed by like 20 minutes for some stupid SUV that caught on fire. on friars. the fire truck tried to go by three lanes of us in going home traffic on friars....i really watched that in disbelief. somehow it worked out, and i finally got home. only to find out i couldn't just sit down and relax, because mom had decided that we'd go see OotP. which i had thought about getting tickets for on the way home, and if i had, i wouldn't have ran into that stupid freakin traffic bullshit. so i was pretty much even pissed off about seeing OotP. especially because mum didn't bother to tell me taht my grandpa was only joining us for dinner and not the movie until AFTER dinner. the headache was intense. and i was also mad cause i didn't get a chance to tell craig anything and i don't like not being able to talk and stuff in the evening....anywho. i finally cheered the fuck up. which might have had something to do with the fact taht i was about to see OotP, and that i ran into a friend working the ticket counter. =)
anywho.......I FINALLY saw OotP. I know, I know, "finally? it's only been out since wednesday!" to that i respond "ONLY?? ONLY?!?!?!?!?!11ELEVENTY!!1ONE!!!1111111" i'm too much of a fan to even think that i managed to not see this movie already. especially cause this is the movie for the book i can't remember because i'd read all the ideas in fanfic before the book came out and i keep getting confused as to what is canon. which is really why this movie was so crucial to see....just to make sure that i got what JKR wouldn't let them leave out.......that's the important stuff right there! (oh yeah right. i'm rolling my eyes SO hard right now. i know the movies are shit for info. shut up and let me pretend that my ability to be a super awesome fan hasn't been totally destroyed by OotP.) in any case.......
so luna SO pwned the scene. she was awesome. i love her so much more in the movie than in the books. in the books she just seemed a little daft, whereas here she was endearing that way.
i nearly cackled when we saw bella and the breakout of azkaban. so freakin awesome.
hermione+grawp+bicycle handlebars/bells=love. i think that's my new otp. lol
dumbledore seemed like a lot less of a dick than he did when reading this book. that's probably cause it seemed like a merry-go-round from start of year to finish....you'd go part of the way around, and harry would be doing the DA thing, another part and the inquisitorial scum would crash into the wall trying to getinto the RoR yet again, then you'd see filch climb higher and higher to put up another decree. rinse, repeat. i was a lot less pissed off at umbridge in the movie than i was in the book. and i was really annoyed that harry never told the true story in the quibbler like he did in the book. i mean, seriously, wtf. they had time to have hermione just laugh at ron and harry for no reason in the common room, and the fight scene at the end with voldie and dumbles was FAR longer than it had to be......couldnt' they have added it in then? i mean, they never resolved rita! *whines*
okay. so i can forgive all of that, especially cause there really wasn't that much i had there to forgive. up until the whole riding in on threstrals to the MoM i was like "omg, this is actually really good!"
then i got pissed off. the death eaters all reminded me of the mummy, just warping around like sand on the wind...all this black sand following around stupid teenagers. it just annoyed me that they weren't disapparating and apparating.....i knew they weren't cause gred and forge did earlier in the movie and it was NOTHING like that. so sandy shit? totally annoying. espeically cause then the order came in and did their sandy shit. only they were white. which was really annoying after sirius's little "omg white? black? that doesn't matter. it's all about grey, but knowing that the black doesn't mean you're not good!11eleventy". i mean, that was the EPITIMY of black vs. white. good vs. evil. gah!!!!!! and they were all around the veil! but only sirius got pulled in. is it really just an anti-black veil? this could probably be okay. i mean, there's probably some alternate apparation thingy. or maybe in the ministry it just works like that. i'm not sure. there could be a reasonable explaination for that bullshit excuse for following canon. at least, it's a lot more explainable than when harry and sirius fight side by side using non-verbal spells.....which harry doesn't learn until the NEXT BOOK! like.....wtf. where's the canon JKR? WHERES THE CANON?>?????? IS THERE NO LONGER LOVE FOR CANON???????? i want my canon back. :-(
then, the raping of canon continued.......and made me wonder when the fuck harry potter stopped being fantasy and moved over to the sci fi channel. there's a reason why in the book store it's the science fiction/fantasy section.......they're not one and the same!!!! dumbles vs. voldie was pretty much all them playing with giant colourful sparkly things and blowing shit up. which really didn't happen in the book. dumbles did like 3 things before voldie possessed harry and then fled when the aurors showed up. i know, because i went back to check and make SURE it wasn't a battle royal like in the movie. wtf. where's the canon. canon, i'll get you a rape kit......we'll do a test, and i'll pay for the abortion of that hellspawn that would be if you got impregnated by the bastard that did this to you. i'm so so sorry canon. so so sorry. *hugs her canon tight* there were force fields.......that looked like something out of that stupid goddamned movie the covenant. i mean, seriously......what were they thinking? *continues to hold canon and soothe it after the miserableness that was the end of that movie*
anywho. i'm really looking forward to deathly hallows. it should be AWESOME. especially cause i'm babysitting before i'm going out for the midnightness and the people i'm babysitting for said they'd be back by 9:30 at the latest.......which means i can totally afford this book even if my mom doesn't pay for it for me like she totally will.
i'm also really really annoyed that july had to exist. if it didn't i'd already be back at school with my craigy and my friends and everything. instead, i have to be here, working and going to class. although i suppose it isn't all bad....july does have comic-con in it. i really need to talk to the boss lady about getting some time off.
anywho........i gotta be up at like 5 am..........which is like........7 hours from now.......so i gotta stop ranting about things and calm down so i can get some totally not enough hours of sleep. peace.
