Maxwell Sylar Giovanni Marchetti
Ok, here's a quick post of the details. Then I have to try and unpack stuff.
Saturday was the due date, and Shannon was having contractions and bleeding. We went to the hospital around 9:30/10am. Doctors had her on a heart monitor to check contractions, and checked her dialation. In the end, around an hour or two the doctor says she's not dialated enough (1.5cm) and the contractions aren't strong enough. So she sends us home.
We watch Spaceballs for a bit and Shannon makes an attempt to walk around. She actually walked from one block corner to another and back when we decide to go back to the hospital. So we were home for about 2 hours.
We get back to the hospital, get in the examining room, and see that she's dialated to 5cm. Contractions are really strong at this point. So we get sent to the labor room.
Baby was born at 4:18pm, 6lb 7oz. and at 19.25inches long. Baby was also born without drugs, since they had difficulty giving Shannon 'the shot' and ended up giving it to her late when they finally did.
The delivery room was Rm. 13 I'm thinking I may get impulse ink of that when I get the chance.
It took us 2 days to finally decide on a name.
Maxwell ~ My mom suggested it, and having just seen Get Smart I thought it was a nice idea. Also it's a Beatles reference to Maxwell's Silver Hammer.

Giovanni ~ Named after my grandfather John Del Sesto who passed in November. He was actually born "Giovanni" and had his name changed when he was old enough.
Marchetti ~ Well it's not like we're going to name him something else. That'd just be silly.
