Watched 1-8 of Code Geass and 1-7 of Shounen Onmyouji! When was the last time I really watched something, I don't know. I watched a bunch of Keroro episodes on my trip back from CA and when I was stuck in SFO in September, but it is going to take forever to catch up with Keroro since I didn't watch from the start. Though hopefully at some point I can make more of a dent.
But Code Geass and Shounen Onmyouji are my new loves. I'm even putting together a Lelouch/Suzaku comm (since there isn't one yet) and they are so so so so so in luuuuurve with one another.
THEY HAVE A MEET ME ON THE ROOF SIGNAL O_O OMG!
I love the fact that on one hand they're not as overwhelmingly gay as Asuran and Kira and the rest of the Seed boys, but at the same time are more gay since they just don't really seem that interested in any of the females surrounding them other than Nanaly. (And I think that is just brotherly and not brotherly Suzaku is the most adorable uke ever. He tries so hard and is so devoted to his friends. When he cries in his Gundam after feeling like he couldn't save his classmates, you feel for him, you don't think "Wow, he's a wangsty cry baby." I loved the scene of him quietly trying to rub out his clothing reading "Go back to the ghetto" Speaking of which, is it just me or does Ougi wear a yellow star of David when out and about? In another series, I would think it was just coincidence, but in this one I have my doubts.
And I must confess, while I love Seed, it's a bad bad soap opera. People coming back from the dead, long lost siblings you never knew you had, clones. It's a space soap opera. Geass on the other hand is an actual good story and I like all the characters, like will actually feel bad when they all start getting killed off at the end of the series inevitably. Well OK, Nana-chan the "weak" bespectacled girl on student council can die. Her refusing to go to school out of fear of Suzaku while very realistic has earned her my dislike.
I strongly suspect Clamp was involved in more than character designs, and GAH such lovely character designs, why is LeLouch prettier than XTV Kamui! (and yet he is an evil seme o_O ) With all this talk of destiny and fate, it's like wandering through a Clamp story. That and Lelouch meeting Suzaku on the roof and saying it's been 7 years. *snickers*
I can't wait for more.
I also adore Shounen Onmyouji, though I now want Akiko to just die. I thought she was cute at first, a little female love interest for Masahiro even though we know he belongs to Guren. But no, I don't care what Guren says, when the cute little onmyouji tells you do not leave your quarters cause you are in serious danger YOU LISTEN! Plus you get in the way of him trying to fight the evil demons. ~.~ The OP is love and despite downloading it, I've also bought it. And hehehehe it's sung by Hikida/Hikita Kaori <333 I think I've already listened to my copy 47 times just since yesterday.
And I am semi relieved. According to
muscatlove SCC on 5/4 is Jump day! Last year I went to Jump day at 12/12:30 and didn't feel like I was missing out since I am sort of not collecting any Jump series doujinshi much anymore. It also helps that I don't like any of the big sell out circles. Mostly, I want to look for cute goods, though it is possible Shounen Onmyouji will be that day, so will need to have Kennis look for that. (Since I want to say KKM and Shounen Onmyouji would prob be the same day and I neeeeeeed Guren x Masahiro and Seiryuu/Seimei) Plus
muscatlove is going herself! 5/3 will be my big day since it is SEED!!!! (And I bet Geass) I think I will go to Dolpa first and send Kennis to Jump day to look for a few small things, and then around 11:30 leave Dolpa to look around myself. The real question is, March. I know what day Haru Comic City is because Comic City is NICE and gives their dates way in advance. If Kyoto Dolpa and Haru are the same day, I can't do both. It's a very thought provoking decision. ^^
