This day hasn't been too shabby. I went to the dentist and got a thumbs-up from him. No cavities and approval for my well-kept mandibles. Splendid.
I had a veggie burger for lunch. Cooked on this teal George Foreman grill my parents recently bought. It's funny. My mother had doubts about my switch; but now that I've made it clear I want to go through with it, she wants to make sure that I actually do. The burgers actually taste quite good. Either that or my memory of meat's taste is fading. Starting was the worst. In the beginning of college, I cut out meat. Then it turns out that was usually the main and best-made food that the caf served. I stuck it out though. Soon, I won't remember the taste of chicken and these meat substitutes will be great. I'm still a little skittish about the tofu dogs though.
I have the urge to see a movie tonight. I watched "Lifeboat", an Alfred Hitchcock film, yesterday and crave another old film. Hitchcock is a classic. His films still retain most of their effect, especially if they don't rely on special effects, which most of them don't. That was the big failure of "The Birds", watching a papier-machebird attack a man's hand was hilarious. IMHO, "Rear Window", "Psycho", "Dial M for Murder",and "Vertigo" still retain their power because they rely on suspense instead. (Although psychoanalysis being a failure takes away from "Spellbound".) Anyway, it'll either be "Imitation of Life" or "All this,And Heaven too" tonight.
Fun fact 1: Hitchcock never won an Emmy or Oscar, though he was nominated.
Fun fact 2: He made a cameo in every single movie he produced and most of the ones he directed.
Fun fact 3: I saw the following movies this summer (not necessarily on the big screen and not necessarily for the first time): Office Space, Nightmare Before Christmas, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Men In Black II, The Time Machine, Minority Report, Austin Powers 3, Shrek, Lifeboat, Viva Las Vegas.
You are Leia
You
are Princess Leia from Star Wars. You are very smart and very
determined. You may have trouble
letting your emotions show, though. You are very sensible but also very
brave. You rock!
Which movie heroine are you? I suppose this is an incentive to actually watch the whole trilogy. I'm one of the few who haven't.
