Photos of the Sea Turtles Caught & Eaten in Yap, Micronesia

These are the two Hawksbill Turtles, a rare and endangered species. As I have learned from talking with biologists, these are more rare than the Green Turtles, one of whose meat is featured in the final photos as dinner for the feast. Oddly, the meat of Hawksbills is not particularly prized . . . .
