College Stuff

So, a whole bunch of people have been asking me what I am going to do for college and stuff so here is a detailed description of the colleges I am going to apply to and why and stuff like that...

GA Tech- I was raised to be a tech fan. Tech is AWESOME! I love math and physics and Tech specializes in those areas. Tech is close to home so I could come back and visit whenever I wanted, studying time not factored in. I also love city life! Tech would challenge me. I like that. And it is in the top 20 best schools in the country. Tech has a great Men's Glee Club. Mrs. Morrow said she saw a show put on by students there and the show wasn't that great, but it was the only show she ever saw with a hologram in it....:)

UGA- Yes, the enemy school. No matter what anyone says, UGA is a good school in the top 25 best schools in the country. The teaching and music programs there are GREAT plus they have so many other options of majors I am thinking of. There is sooooooo much to do there. UGA kind of has a GHP feel to it....just in a much larger scale. A whole community in a college doing different things. UGA is also only 1.5 hours away or so.

Lee University- A lot of you probably haven't heard of it. It is in TN about 2 or so hours away from here. This is a christian college. At the beginning of the summer, when I was signing up for CIY with Chip, I discovered this college. Christian and academically challenging. This perked my interest. I always wanted to try to go to a Chrisitan school but usually they don't have that great of a rep as being academically prestigious. So, ACC was out and I thought maybe Lee. Then I decided no because it was out-of-state. I want to take advantage of HOPE. Then, when I went there with Chip for CIY, I really like the campus. It was all homely. But I still wanted to stay in state. Then, went I went to the college fair in SEp, I found out about their Presidential Scholarship program that I am definitely eligible for and that would give me free tuition. But for some reason I still discounted it. Then, I was thinking hard about colleges about a week and a half ago and I came across the same phrase 2 times in the same day and it stuck with me. "Never forget what is important." I realized that I had forgotten my faith. That is what is important to me. So I realized that I needed to apply to a Christian college and see what happens. SO, that is my final decision. Lee has a great music program, a great campus, and other good academic programs. But most of all, it has God as the center. So yea.

West GA- One of my saftely schools. Good school, some cool people there, and has about whatever major I would want. Doesn't specialize in much though. 1.5 hours away.
STATUS:Not Applied Yet

GCSU- Another saftey school. Good school. Not too large. VERY nice campus and HUGE dorm rooms. Just 2 or so hours from home. They have just about anything I would major in.
STATUS:Not Applied Yet

If I go to one of my saftey school, there is a good chance I would transfer to one of the top 3 on the list.

As you can see, I have a lot more to do with applications...:)

Hmmm, that is all for now...any questions?
