So new Seeker this weekend! Wahoo R/K craziness! I recently did a marathon of season 2 again and realized how much I love this season. At first I was hesitant because I was worried on how they were going to portray Cara. Now that I know that they didn't go the stupid love triangle angle I can fully enjoy it. The writing seems a lot tighter this year than last. It feels less like "event...event...angst...BIG SWORD FIGHT...event... angst...BIG SWORD FIGHT...event...conclusion" - the episodes are just overall more cohesive. I like that they keep bringing stuff back from season 1 like the whisperers, etc - so that there's nice continuity. We've got gobs of info over at The Confessor and the Seeker Society on where you can send in letters for a season 3. I sent an email to WGNAmerica (the station I watch it on because my dish doesn't show my local channel in HD.) They responded back to me so we know that they're paying attention to the emails that they're receiving!
I've decided that I'm not watching American Idol this year. I've enjoyed having limited TV to watch. AI is maddening and you're always forced to listen to people who you don't like to get to those that you do. Eh. I might wait for the top 12 and see if there's anyone there that I like.
I'm slowing working on my personal website. I didn't do anything w/ it this past weekend but figure I'll work on it this weekend. And because, you know, I don't have enough to do *Rolls eyes* I've decided that I'm going to cap TSCC. I'm working on gathering Season 1 Blu-Ray files right now and the caps will all go on my site since my TSCC section is lacking content. So SCS will have a great collection of non-watermarked HD caps for the show when I'm done...so long as I can find S2 files that way too.
Last night I put on Today is the Day pt 1 - the first time that I've tried watching TSCC in eons. I've been working on trying to get my TSCC galleries back together and have been able to do that w/o getting overly emotional - I thought that maybe my mourning was over...apparently not. I spent the whole episode choked up. I think that I've realized that I like Lux so much on LIFE UNEXPECTED because she kind of reminds me of Riley. (I might be one of the few people in TSCC fandom who didn't mind her character, or crazy Jesse.) The score just gets to me and I LOVE the characters so much. *Sigh* :(
Heroes went out w/ a whimper. The big confrontation with Samuel was telling w/ how much their budget had gotten slashed. They ended it in a way that if the show is over - it rather went full cycle. It's open ended but not as bad as say TSCC was.
There are rumors that Melrose Place won't be renewed - I hope that Stephanie Jacobsen gets a great job after enduring that crap.
Prelim casting calls for Tom Welling's produced cheerleader show "Wildcats" look interesting. Its' very "Bring it On" (one of my favorite guilty pleasure films.)
Caprica is doing horribly in the ratings - too bad, it's a GREAT show. I refuse to get too attached though. Spartacus - the cheese continues to entertain me w/ all of the hot sweaty bods :)~
