Ghost Rider or How I learned to love really bad comic book adaptations...

8 Clips of Ghost Rider.

I knew going in this movie wasn't going to be all that and a bag of chips but it actually hurts to watch 8 clips of this movie.

The showdown between Wes Bentley and Peter Fonda is even harder to watch due to the editing. Blackheart's merry band villains don't ring any bells with me but that doesn't mean much.

The Rider's stable of villains never really stood out which may be part of the reason he was never as popular as most of the other 3rd or 4th Tier Marvel Books.

Peter Fonda is a good choice, imho, he seemed good in the role of Mephisto.

The bike just doesn't do it for me. The same reason for the retcon of the Batmobile being a tank in Batman Begins goes for the Rider's Bike. If you're going to drive a bike in New York City (cough, Australia, cough) it should be built like a tank. This one works perfectly, imho.

Ghost Rider, the Daniel Ketch version, not the Johnny Blaze incarnation was always one of those characters that never really fit in the mold of hero or vigilante he was, I guess, fell into Demonic Mutant of the Marvel Universe, the Police constantly after him, the demonic bad guys eating the scenery/hero's family on a regular basis and guest stars mutants to up his readership so the comic didn't get axed.

I'm glad the movie is arriving in the theaters instead of DVD, I just wish it would have gotten the X-Men or Batman Begins treatment instead of being tossed aside into the pile of comic book movie dreck like both Punisher movies and Daredevil, Catwoman, the original Fantastic Four Movie and Batman and Robin.
