More Like New Year's Goals

I suppose that I don't really have resolutions any more, resolutions just seem so "official." I guess instead, I'm going to just set goals. Goals can be set any time anywhere, so these are just some more goals.

-Continue to exercise. I've been doing sit-ups and push-ups every night since early December. I can keep that up, and mix it in with some more walking or jogging.
-Continue schooling and learning as much as I can about television/movies. Yes, this industry is still facisnating to me. I've decided to split my time between both engineering and entertainment.
-Talk with people in the industry and continue working on student projects.
-Research more ways to save and invest. Probably more on the saving side.

I suppose that's enough to work on for now. I may add more if I feel like it. Now that more and more people are finding out that I want to work in television/movies, they always tell me how they can't wait to see my name in lights. How they can't wait for me to be famous, and in all reality...I don't want fame...Fortune-absolutely, but fame...not so much. Just working behind the scenes and getting paid for it is enough for me. Do I know exactly what I want? No not yet, and even if I did it changes from week to week. That's why the two goals above are important.

The other question I get asked a lot is why do I still do engineering. The answer to that is a weird combination of stuff. For starters, it's a good living. It pays the bills even if I am part time, and has a little bit extra. As much as I hate it, I will be the first to admit it is a decent living. I do like some parts of engineering like some programing, drafting, and design stuff so that's why I'm in it. Lastly, I like the way that it teaches you how to think. As much as I hated it, hate it now...however you want to spin it. The thinking is something that I will always be proud of.

My battery is about to run out, and I'm writing from the airport.
