W tells me that the cats don't like helium balloons for some reason, which might explain why I haven't seen most of them for the last 24 hours as there are two big "happy birthday!" balloons floating around in the living room.
Or at least there were, until one of them somehow drifted across the downstairs floorplan, up the switchback staircase, and into the office. I found out when it dangled a long ribbon over my shoulder and tickled my right ear. Scared the hell out of me. Starting to think that I don't like helium ballons either.
