Gilty Direction?

We saw the Golden Compass last night. It was a pretty sequence of compelling situations, awkwardly handled and pasted together with tar. Thus, it was a spiritually faithful adaptation of the books.

Note that I liked the books, at least inasmuch as they were fun to read.
