Truman's Comics anonymous June 3 2007, 20:29:22 UTC
R, Thank You for a very wonderful statement about Dan. No one could have written it much better. You always were a 'good' kid and your dad was always a good man. There were quite a few that came in over the few years that Danny ran the shop. To clear a few things up though, Dan had 2 daughters. That was his wife who was running the store after he passed. She closed because someone robbed her. She tried to keep it going, but sadly, all good things come to an end. She was a good woman and tried hard.
Dan was like an older brother to me or maybe he was a father replacement figure, who can tell. I miss him too. Alot, Truman like the President. I will never be able to get the picture of him out of my head when I saw him. I had been running a wharehouse for a Canadian Company and could not get up to see him very often. He came down. I was in shock. I had known about his problem, but I had niavely believed him when he told me it was ok.
It just hurt. Alot. We all find out sooner or later what it feels like. It just wasn't fair for Danny.
I know alot about it. I should. I was the one you called "Fat Dave". I guess I don't really mind that you couldn't remember my name. You got Dan's right and that is all that REALLY matters.
All my best to you & yours. Steve, sspunk@aol.com (Stuck inna bottom of a hill in good ol west by gauwd virginny ....... Anyone got a tow rope ?)
