Wow, gotta love real estate listings. About as much fun to read as ebola statistics.
I've seen articles about the tiny housing fad-let; now here's a
hot little property in Seattle. Emphasis on little. I should be able to afford this one, assuming I could sell my house, along with 90% of my possessions. 325 square feet of "open floor plan". It's a one-room cottage; yes, I guess technically that is an open floor plan. I like how they proudly advertise walk-in closet. Ahem, this is a walk-in closet. I suppose they could have used the slogan: "Downsized at work? Downsize your home!" A nice symmetry.
More seriously, though, as I was running this morning, I was thinking that this upcoming transition might be a good opportunity to seriously unload a lot of possessions I've been carrying for too long. I do have way too much stuff, and so much of it I could really do just fine without.
That said, I still don't expect to find myself moving into a 'house' that is smaller than my present garage.
