I've only admitted this out loud once before. And that was in the comments of a flocked entry. So here goes my completely batshit theory. Yay. Rusty steals from the audios with no shame whatsoever. That's a well known fact. My theory is that Rusty was trying to create Rose=Charley. Only failed because he didn't understand why Charley was awesome. There are far too many similarities in the character for it to be pure chance, especially with the fact that Rusty admits to loving the audios.

And that's my batshit theory in a nutshell. At least I admit that it's batshit?

I was listening to a Who podcast not to long ago -- I think it might've been Doctor Who Online -- and there was an interview with India Fisher.

One of the things she said was that she'd gotten a very nice note from RTD, the general message of which was, "If it weren't for Charlie, I could never have done Rose."

So, yeah, the theory that Rose=Charley is certainly doable. :)
