I was about to laugh, and then I realised that my friends list is probably the source of at least half the wackiness.

But if so, you'd think she'd just have summoned a stepping disk and teleported everybody out of the mansion, instead of hanging about limply in Peter's arms as though she had no powers at all.
On the other hand, maybe they thought of that, but decided they really didn't want to go via Limbo.

If she and Kitty were sharing a room like they did in the comics, then that was probably her who was closer to the door and who got tranquilized while Kitty woke up enough (or had already been awake thanks to Siryn's scream--was that right before the scene?) to escape the invading troopers by phasing through the bed. I think Peter showed up right after that, found the soldiers, changed, knocked out/killed/whatever the soldiers, and grabbed Magik (don't remember how to spell her actual name :P). That would explain why she didn't utilize her stepping disks, as well as giving the movie people a good excuse not to drag Limbo into the mess. ;)

Illyana. Hm, yes, that would make sense, that he was carrying her because she'd been tranquilized. Objection withdrawn, then. :)
