Isn't something so much missed, but based on seeing Scarecrow & Mrs. King in your icon! Were you a fan? What was your favorite episode?

I was a big fan, yes. Wrote fanfic and everything, at the tender age of thirteen. (Mercifully none of it survived the Great Fanfic Purge of 1988.)

It's been such a long time now that I have little recollection of most episodes, but I do remember being thrilled by "Weekend" when it first aired, and cassette-taping the audio track so I could listen to it on my headphones while lying in bed and replay the episode in my mind. :)

Darn, wish I could remember which one "Weekend" is. It's funny how I can't remember so many episodes, but some, like Ship of Spies, I have practically memorized.

And it's too bad you lost all the fanfic you wrote for it! I've lost some of the stuff I wrote before I was 13 and I regret not having it... even if only to mock myself.

"Weekend" was one of the earliest really shippy episodes, where Lee and Amanda had to pose as a married couple on a retreat weekend. She made the mistake of telling someone that they had been married "not that long, really" and they got pegged as newlyweds and expected to behave accordingly, much to Lee's eye-rolling chagrin. At the end of the episode Amanda got injected with poison by the heavily-accented bad guy and Lee had to rush her to hospital...

Scarecrow and Mrs. King is still one of my all time favorite shows--and it held up very well when I watched it again back when PAX was reshowing it several years ago. I taped most of the episodes and now my young girls love to watch them. And what do you mean "Weekend" was one of the earliest really shippy episodes??? ALL of the episodes were really shippy!!! That's why I loved them.
