Ashley got this whole weekend off, which is nice, though she has to work all next week. She wants to do something but I don't know what, we don't exactly have a lot of money. Maybe I can convince her that staying home to watch the rest of West Wing season 1 is something to do. Though something tells me that wont quell her urge to "do something" I think she wants out of the house as much as I do. Poor thing works 55 hours a week and has nothing resembling a social life. All my friends like her, but that doesn't count for much when you don't have any friend to call your own. And it's not like she is going to make any friends at work being that they are all dumb fucks. I could always take her to the movies, she does like that and it qualifies as getting out of the house.
As a replacement for Blackie McBlackie (Ashley's dead black bear hamster) I bought Ashley some mice, she has a good track record with mice. I finally named all of them since Ashley couldn't seem to name more than one. So, we have; Whiskers, Fearless, Monkey, Dorathy, and Roger. They are pretty cool for being small rats, though they stink, they smell worse then the 3 rats. I don't know why though, it's not like they shit more then Bob or the girls. Maybe it's cause there are 5 of them in one cage where Bob has his cage and the girls have theirs. At least for all the stink they are pretty cute and that counts for a lot.
Che has reported that he has the script for the 1st issue of Paladin (apparently the titles is going to change for story purposes) almost complete and I should have a copy tomorrow. This is good since Che is so fucking P (meyers-briggs personality test) about everything. He has given me stacks of info, whether drawn or writen, so much that I have been sorting it for about a month. Granted the more info the better, but I need to know what is important for issue one and if I can't tell what for issue 1 and whats for issue 20 it doesn't help me much. He and I went over some of that this last weekend and I think I have it pretty well sorted but he says he has a lot more for me to go through which worries me to a dagree. But at least the ball is moving, it could be worse the ball might be a cube which last time I checked didn't roll very well.
I talked to Alan the other night and we talked about Steam a little. I was starting to worry that he was to bogged down with school and job hunting to write anything, not that those aren't good reasons to be busy or anything. But if I know Alan as well as I think I do, if it gets put to the back burner it may never see daylight again. At any rate this conversation put any worries I had to rest. The resent pause wasn't brought on by loss of time ot interest, but where to go next. So, now he is going to start scripting things so we can stroyboard and than panel it. If all goes well I think we can have the first few isses ready to be drawn up by summer break.
. . . so much anime so little time . . .
